We are Crank Studios, brought to life by creatives for the sake of creativity; family-built, and made from the ground up. You wouldn't imagine that our cosy cafe/bar and school used to be a bank if you came in!! We are a grassroots music venue, championing small independent musicians across all genres (our team is the most genre fluid team ever). In our bar area, we have gigs almost every Saturday night to platform the amazing talent the North (and sometimes further out) has to offer. When we are not putting on gigs, we put on amazing fundraising events to boost the community & the organisations putting energy into the things we align with most: mental wellbeing and creative freedom for all. The other side of our business is a music school, centering community and education by teaching an array of instruments and musical practises to all ages and abilities. We are blessed by the most amazing tutors, and they will implement confidence and strength into their students through the power of musical magic.
